Dear Hinds County neighbor, I am pleased to announce my candidacy for Hinds County Supervisor in District One. I ask for your support. If our metropolitan area is to be successful, Hinds County and the Capital City must have strong leadership. Like me, I am sure you desire to see our community move forward and flourish. As a citizen of District One, you play an important role in seeing that vision come to fruition. The Hinds County Board of Supervisors is responsible for the following: 1. Property and car tag taxes 2. Crime prevention and Criminal Housing 3. Expenditure of county resources 4. Road and other infrastructure maintenance Additionally, the Board of Supervisors controls the indebtedness of Hinds County. This authority is an enormous responsibility and has far reaching implications. My commitment to you is that I will represent your interests on the Board. I will work to see that the expenditure of your tax dollars is an investment in your community that will have a positive impact on the safety of your family and on the economic success of our county.
